The UN Youth Advisory Group and Post COP26 Youth-led Climate Action

Building on the momentum of the youth climate movement, the Secretary-General launched his Youth Advisory Group on Climate Change. The group has been amplifying youth voices and engaging young people in an open and transparent dialogue, as the UN gears up to raise ambition and accelerate action to tackle the climate crisis.

Presidency Event in Partnership with High Level Climate Champions: Destination 2030

'Destination 2030' will take stock of what has been achieved at COP 26 so far, exploring what’s necessary, what’s possible and what’s already underway to deliver the promise of the Paris Agreement and keep 1.5 alive. The event will feature COP 26 President Alok Sharma, former US Vice President Al Gore, Wanjira Mathai and other who will join the High-Level Champions, Gonzalo Muñoz and Nigel Topping.

PRESIDENCY EVENT: The Power of Public Engagement for Harnessing Climate Action: stories and lessons of empowerment from around the world

This session will bring together voices from across the world who will share their personal journeys to galvanise climate action through public engagement. From activists to business leaders and Ministers, the panelists will share what they have learned from championing public engagement and what more can be done to harness a whole of society approach to climate action.
